Verse of the Week - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (KJV).
What Is Prayer
Prayer is a way in which we communicate with God, and how we get to know him better. A pray can be for strength, healing, for protection, or to receive something, but God will grant those prayers as he sees fit.
A good time to pray is first thing in the morning, before any distractions get in the way of your one to one with God. A morning prayer is a great way to focus your attention on seeking God's plan for you for that day, but remember you can also pray throughout the day as well. You can pray as often as you like, but always Pray.
"You have not, because you ask not." James 4:2 KJV.
Prayer should help us to be more grateful and to appreciate the 'Gift of Grace' God has given to us all, through Jesus Christ. It helps us to see more clearly what God has given us.
"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16 KJV.
Let Us Pray
"Lord, may nothing separate me from You today. Help me walk by Your word and not by my feelings."
Protect me from my own careless thoughts, words and actions, as sometimes I can fall short and make mistakes."
I know Your love for me is not based on my performance, that You love me more than I can imagine."
Help me to remember that You are right beside me everywhere I go and help me to draw closer to You in prayer each and every day."
Amen
