Children - A Gift from God
The bible tells us that children are a gift from God. God created the family and children are a gift from Him. But let us also not forget we are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Children need to be loved, protected and guided by their parents or guardian; they need to be clothed and cared for, it's a huge responsibility, and God knows this.
"Train up your child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6 KJV.
"And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath; but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." Ephesians 6:4 KJV.
Every child is different, and that person raising a child has a very important role to play. Whether your married or a single parent, makes no difference to God. Bring up a child in the way of the Lord and teach them about Jesus and his sacrifice for us. Read the bible to them and explain the nature of sin, and why we live in a fallen world.
Children are never too young to learn God's word. If you don't teach them God's way, the world will teach them that it's okay to be disobedient to God. Teach them the importance of prayer and how to have a personal relationship with Jesus. Show them how to be a Christian. God will guide you every step of the way.
Let Us Pray
"Lord, I know that my child’s help and protection comes from You, the Lord who made heaven and earth. You will not let Your foot be moved. You will not slumber. You make my child lie down in green pastures, beside the still waters.
Thank You for being my child’s keeper, You are the shade on my child’s right hand. The sun will not strike my child by day, nor the moon by night. Thank You in advance for keeping my child from all evil. I have peace in my heart knowing that You keep Your loving arms, surrounded around my child’s life, now and forevermore.
