Support for you, not just your child

Support for parents is just as important as support for children. Parenting is easier when the right support is around you. Alongside help for your child, we offer tailored support for parents themselves, because looking after your own wellbeing is part of looking after theirs.

Free counselling sessions for parents

These sessions provide a completely free opportunity to explore personal challenges in a safe, confidential and supportive environment.

Family support service

Our family and parenting programmes are designed to build confidence, knowledge and self-esteem in each family member to enable effective communication and solution building skills.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get support for my child's behaviour?

You can refer your child directly through our online referral forms Make a referral | Spurgeons Services, or explore our free resources on behaviour for practical strategies you can start using straight away. Parenting tips | Spurgeons Digital Family Hub

Can I get support for myself, not just my child?

Yes. Parenting is easier with the right support around you too. We offer guidance, courses, and local services designed for parents' own wellbeing, not just their child's.

Do I need to be referred by someone else, or can I self-refer?

In most cases you can reach out directly. Whether that's referring your child, finding a local centre, or browsing our resources. Some services may also accept referrals from schools, health visitors, or other professionals.

What areas do Spurgeons cover?

We offer a range of family support services in Wiltshire, Elmbridge, Birmingham, prisons, and Kent as well as online if you can't get to face-to-face appointments. Explore support near you to see what's available locally.

What if I'm not sure what kind of support I need?

That's completely normal. Start by browsing our free resources and courses, or get in touch. Our team can help point you toward the right service for your family's situation.

We're here to support you and your family

Whatever's brought you here today, reaching out is a positive first step. Every family is different, and we're here to listen, understand your situation, and help you find the support, advice, and services that feel right for you and your loved ones.
