Our family hubs
Whatever your family is facing, you don’t have to manage it alone.
Our family support services
Spurgeons provides family support, counselling, early years services and Family Hubs in communities across England. We work with local authorities, churches and community organisations to help families access practical, emotional and specialist support.
Our services are different in each area, so find your nearest service to see what support is available.
Wiltshire
Our Family Hub services across Wiltshire provide family support, parenting support, groups and activities for children, young people and parents. Families can access support with parenting, wellbeing, relationships and other challenges affecting family life.
We also offer community-based activities and support through our local network, helping families connect with others and access the help they need.
Elmbridge, Surrey
Our Family Centres in Elmbridge provide support for families with children and young people, including family support, parenting groups, emotional wellbeing support and help with behaviour and family relationships.
Our teams work with families in Walton, West Molesey and Cobham, providing support in family centres, homes and the community.
Birmingham
Through Birmingham Forward Steps, Spurgeons provides support for children and families across Birmingham, including Family Hubs and Children’s Centres.
Support includes family support, parenting, baby groups, breastfeeding, emotional wellbeing, SEND support, speech and language, and advice around issues such as housing, debt and immigration.
Prison family hubs
Our Prison Family Hubs support children and families affected by imprisonment.
At HMP Winchester, our award-winning Invisible Walls service helps fathers in custody reconnect with their families, while providing support for families inside and outside prison. We also provide intensive support before and after release through Behind the Walls, Beyond the Gates.
Church Family Hubs
Local support through local churches
Churches can play an important role in helping families feel connected, supported and part of their community.
Through Spurgeons Connect, we work with churches and community groups to develop Church Family Hubs welcoming places where families can find practical, emotional and relational support.
This might include parenting groups, stay-and-play sessions, baby groups, family activities, community events and links to wider support.
Are you a church looking to open your own Family Hub?
We support churches to develop new family activities or strengthen groups they already run, providing guidance, training and practical support for group leaders and volunteers.
