We want to build on your resilience as a family and empower you to be self-reliant. Once we have agreed to work together, you will be allocated a dedicated Family Support Worker who will carry out work we agree with you.
This could be on a 1:1 basis to support the needs of your family in the home and community. Once a family’s support needs are identified, there are a range of things we can do to make a difference.

What is the role of a family centre?
Our centres are an inclusive and welcoming space that enables us to help families capitalise on their strengths and build strong relationships. We work with families by providing advice and support on parenting, domestic abuse, child behaviour, children’s mental health and other situations that families may experience.
We provide 1:1 and group sessions for all family members, including parenting classes and summer holiday provision for the children.
How does a family support worker help families?
We want to build on your resilience as a family and empower you to be self-reliant. You will have a named Family Support Worker who will carry out work we agree with you, which could be short or long term.
This could involve visiting you in your home, meeting you in the community, inviting you to group sessions such as Parenting, DA and other support. They may also see your children in their school/nursery and attend meetings with you.
