Family Voices Session in Birmingham – Valentine’s Day

Our Birmingham team hosted a Family Voices session at a local primary school, bringing together five families and five babies for a warm, supportive gathering.

The session focused on parental mental health, emotional wellbeing, and creating a safe space for families to share their experiences. Feedback from families and school staff was overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing the value of early help and community‑based mental health support.

Separation in Schools: Online event

Our Head of Counselling, Ellie Johnston, joined Wells Family Mediation and The Parents Promise for a free online session exploring the “Separation in Schools” policy.

The discussion focused on the challenges schools face when supporting children and families through separation, and how clear, family‑focused policies can make a meaningful difference. The event helped educators and parents better understand how to navigate sensitive situations with care and consistency.

Spurgeons Connect: Church visits in Wiltshire

Our Wiltshire Leadership Team and Community Navigator Teams visited local churches to explore how Spurgeons Connect can strengthen existing community support networks.

These visits provided opportunities to meet church staff, understand local needs, and discuss ways to collaborate on supporting families, children, and young people. The conversations helped build strong partnerships and expand access to early help services across Wiltshire.

Looking Ahead

This year, our teams continue to focus on family support, community engagement, parental mental health, and children’s wellbeing. Across Wiltshire, Birmingham, and other areas, we remain committed to ensuring families have access to the early help and support they need.
