Wiltshire Children's Centre Services

Spurgeon's Children's Centres provide parental and family support in Wiltshire and activities for children aged 0-5, ensuring a strong foundation for your child's future.

Our children's centres in Wiltshire are places where parents of children aged 0–5 years can share the challenges and joys of parenthood

Spurgeons Children's Centres are places where we offer a range of activities, parenting support groups, parenting courses in Wiltshire and support services to help you with all aspects of parenting, helping you make sure your child gets the best start in life.

Wiltshire Children’s Services team provide support to families with children aged 0 to 5 on behalf of Wiltshire Council.

Our Children's Centre Services offer parents and carers:

  • Information, advice and support
  • Advice on how to access childcare provided by nurseries and childminders
  • Family support services in Wiltshire
  • Parenting courses and parent support groups in Wiltshire
  • Access to children health services including midwives and health visitors
  • Support for children with specialist needs such as sensory rooms
  • Links with Jobcentre Plus, local training providers, further and higher education institutions
  • Messy play, rhyme time sessions, and stay and play sessions

After joining the Five to Thrive (Wiltshire) session, I now know the importance of playing and responding and talking and responding and cuddling with our little one. My son has made new friends and he is more confident playing with other children, and he seems very happy.

  • Craft and message created by children at Wiltshire Children Centres
  • A written review of an activity day at Wiltshire Children's Centres by a child who attended.
  • A drawing and message from a child at an activity day

Spurgeons Charity and our Wiltshire Children’s Centres provide support to families with children aged 0 to 5 on behalf of Wiltshire County Council.

Everything that we do in our centres is underpinned by the Five to Thrive ethos. This is because we know that a child’s brain grows better when parents and carers do five simple things that feed the growing brain:

Respond • Cuddle • Relax • Play • Talk
