After joining the Five to Thrive (Wiltshire) session, I now know the importance of playing and responding and talking and responding and cuddling with our little one. My son has made new friends and he is more confident playing with other children, and he seems very happy.
Spurgeons Charity and our Wiltshire Children’s Centres provide support to families with children aged 0 to 5 on behalf of Wiltshire County Council.
Everything that we do in our centres is underpinned by the Five to Thrive ethos. This is because we know that a child’s brain grows better when parents and carers do five simple things that feed the growing brain:
Respond • Cuddle • Relax • Play • Talk
