Spurgeon's June round up
Spurgeons' staff carry out important work in communities across a range of different services, and this continued throughout June.
Here is our round-up of news over the last few weeks, to shine a light upon some of the work we do every day across our services.
Volunteer's Week 2024
This month, we gave thanks and celebrated the vital work that volunteers do here at Spurgeons. Our volunteers have helped us to lift spirits and create hope where it's needed most. Explore our videos below where volunteers across the organisation share their insight into what it's like to volunteer at Spurgeons.
Men's Health Week
It was also Men's Health Week this month, which is a call to action for men's health and wellbeing. At Spurgeons, we're here to listen, support and guide, while providing access to a range of mental health resources, and our website Dad Info.
Carer's Week
During Carer's Week, we shined a light on the incredible young carers in our community. At Spurgeons, we recognise the dedication and love that they bring to every challenge.
Father's Day
It was also Father's Day this month, and we celebrated every dad, step-dad and father figure, as well as those who may have complex relationships with their fathers.

First Aid Awareness with St John's Ambulance
This month our Wiltshire team at our Family hub hosted St John's Ambulance for a series of 4 First Aid Awareness workshops. We want to thank everyone who participated and made this event a milestone in our journey towards a safer community.
Charles Spurgeon's Birthday
On the 19th of June, we celebrated the birthday of our organisation's founder Charles Spurgeon. We journeyed into the past, and explored the life and impact that he made upon children and families throughout his life, and how that work continues today.
